THE OFFICIAL GOLDEN BNTA ANNIVERSARY CHARITY AUCTION
The BNTA celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023 and to commemorate this momentous occasion, a charity auction was held with one of the founder members, Spinks.
The 50th Anniversary Charity Auction which was held on the 14th December 20023 in association with Spink reached it’s goal and raised the spectacular sum of £50,000 for the chosen charities. The total revenue is being given to Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital (the full hammer) with the buyer’s premium being shared between the Himal Foundation and the Medical Life Lines Ukraine.
The chosen charity of the BNTA was Great Ormond Street Hospital for children. Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at Great Ormond Street Hospital from all over the UK; these young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world. Despite the greatest challenges a child can face, the hospital is a place where being sick does not always mean being sad. And it’s a place where you’ll find – today and every day – some of the bravest people you could ever meet.
The auction was a great success with strong bidding both on line and in the room, the wines and whiskey from the tasting barrels flowed and the excitement and alcohol produced some extra bids. The buzz was electric and the noise much more of a party than an auction but Greg’s dulcet tones stayed above the roar.
Olivier Stocker, and all the team, did an amazing job hosting the event and helping this idea transform into a reality.
